Student teaching is every week day for 80 days in the student's content area and follows the calendar used by the middle school or high school where the student teaching placement occurs. If the student is completing a special education, ESL, or reading license addition, then student teaching will last 40 days in a middle school or high school in the content area and for another 40 days in a middle school or high school in the license addition area.
