There are several ways to qualify for license renewal through the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE). Please view the IDOE website for detailed information about the license renewal process:
The School of Education at IUPUI offers a pathway for license renewal. You can renew your Indiana school teaching, school guidance counselor, or administrator license, by enrolling in (6) credits of graduate education courses that you have not previously completed. Classes 500 and above are considered graduate level. The program will include face-to-face and online course offerings.
Please note: The following license holders can enroll in (6) credits of undergraduate or graduate courses in education or in their licensure area:
*License holders who primarily work with ENL or bilingual students, can enroll in (6) credits of undergraduate/graduate Spanish courses.

License Renewal Requirements
• Receive a passing grade in approved license renewal courses
• Submit a license renewal application through the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE)
• Be certified in CPR/AED from an IDOE approved provider
• Students applying for license renewal must meet all current IDOE requirements
