Aly Elfreich is a third-year doctoral candidate in the Urban Education Studies program at IU School of Education at IUPUI. She taught as a social studies teacher for nine years in public schools in Chicago and Indianapolis.
Her dissertation research focus is on Latina adolescent mental health. Other research interests include mental health and well-being, urban school counseling, feminist theory, and qualitative research methods.
