Everyone thinks they know a frog when they see one.  But do they really?  Are they green or brownish?  Are their eyes on the front of their heads or at the side?   Do they have long legs or short?  Let's take a closer look and learn about FROGS!

TASK

    You and your partner will study frogs and find out about some special frogs plus you will find out what makes frogs different from toads.  First, surf the Internet to learn about frogs.  Record your findings on the Venn diagram.   Be sure to record at least 5 characteristics for both the frog and the toad.   Next you will find out about the care of frogs.  Finally, you will have some fun with the Welcome to Frogland webpage of games and jokes.

THE PROCESS

            1.  Find out what the frog of the month is and use this frog to write a madlib story found on this webpage.

            2.  Find the joke section on the Frogland page and memorize two or three jokes to tell the class.

CONCLUSION

    Hope you enjoyed learning about frogs and comparing them to toads.   Go home and tell your frog jokes to your family.  They will love them. Remember we all have a responsibility to protect the wildlife around us.  Please be careful with our animal friends.
