Help Centers and Phone Numbers
IUPUI makes a variety of other supports available to students who need to practice
and/or refresh their basic skills in reading, math, and writing. Listed below
are centers and references that provide review and practice materials, with
a brief description of the materials available:
Plato Learning
Plato Learning is available for any School of Education student at IUPUI who
would like to prepare for the PPST Exam. This is a web-based tutorial system
that requires an account login. Please request a Plato Learning Account.
Curriculum Resource Center

The CRC has textbooks and materials available for review of theme-writing,
reading comprehension, and math. The CRC also has a copy of the PPST Study Guide.
that includes sample questions and answers. Additional copies of the PPST Study
Guide are available at most bookstores and public libraries.
Learning Center

The Resource Center Mentors in the Learning Centers provide the clerical services
for the Learning Center program, peer support, as well as information and
referrals for student to other campus resources. Resource Mentors are trained
and possess the interviewing skilled necessary to make them active, helpful,
non-judgmental listeners. Additionally, they provide tutor referrals, helpful
handouts, and other skills that might be of use to you throughout your college
career.
University Writing Center

The Writing Center offers a variety of workshops during the year that deal
with preparation for essay exams. The workshop topics include how to approach
a question, spelling, grammar, use of examples, and documentation. Please
call The Writing Center for specific information regarding the schedule of
individual workshops.
