If I have attended another university
or college, will all of my courses from the other school transfer?
The institution must also offer comparable courses. However, since

professional education credits can be transferred to the Teacher
Education program and must have a B or better grade.

affect my grade point average?
Transferred courses are counted for credit towards your degree ,
but are not computed in your GPA.

If I get an "F"in a course,
can I erase it from my GPA?
Undergraduate students may "FX" up to 15 credit hours
of course work that has been taken on the IUPUI campus. The "FX"
says that your "F" has been deleted from your GPA, however,
the "FX" will always appear on your transcript. The FX
option may not apply to all courses offered through the School of
Education and is NOT an option for graduate students.
How do I "FX" a course?
You retake and complete the same course on the
IUPUI campus with a passing grade and then request that the appropriate
form be completed by the recorder in the Education Student Services

Where can I find information about licensing?

What is the difference between certification
and licensing?
Licensing is the broader term. It describes all programs that prepare
people for teaching or leadership roles in schools. Many licensure
programs also lead to a degree. The ones that do not lead to a degree
are known as certification programs. Since certification programs
lead to licensure only, they are appropriate for people who already
hold degrees. Certification programs may lead to initial teaching
licenses (for people who hold non-teaching degrees) or may result
in the addition of content or developmental areas to existing teaching
licenses.

http://www.doe.state.in.us/dps/faq/renewal.html
(see item 24)
According to the Division of Professional Standards (formerly IPSB),
“a Professional License is a license of a higher gradation
than the Standard License. A Standard License may be converted to
a Professional License when an applicant has completed an appropriate
Master's Degree (with course work in education and in the license
major, minor and endorsement areas) and five years of teaching experience
in an accredited school. Such teaching experience must be at the
level and in one or more of the subject areas on the license.”
Applicants who meet the professionalization requirements are eligible
for a Professional License valid initially for ten years. After
that, the Professional License may be renewed for five year periods.
