IUPUI Urban Principal Program


Program Goals

Preparing school leaders to confront and engage in complex social change is the challenge of the future. At IUPUI, we believe our purpose for this program is fulfilled when we prepare leaders who will risk, hope and dare to create the social justice critical for all students to be successful. The unique challenges of the urban school principalship require a different preparation at the certification level.

The major perspectives we believe deserve the highest priority in preparation of school leaders include the following:
