License Renewal

Teachers who have a current Indiana teaching license must renew their license every five years by taking 6 credit hours of college coursework. Teachers who want to take courses that will count toward their license renewal have many options at Indiana University School of Education at IUPUI.

• Courses from Schedule of Classes - Graduate level only

Teachers who are interested in making their 6 credit hours part of a masters' degree must apply and be accepted to the masters' degree program of their choice. Once accepted as a graduate student, these individuals plan a program of study with the help of School of Education faculty.
