Scholarships Available for the IU School of Education at IUPUI
The scholarships listed on this page are available to School of Education students at IUPUI.

Patricia Tefft Cousin Scholarship: (PDF) Awarded to a full-time, undergraduate SOE student majoring in Elementary Education with a demonstrated interest in Special Education, Literacy, or Early Childhood. Preference given to non-traditional, returning female students.

Barbara L. Wilcox Scholarship: (PDF) Awarded to a junior or senior SOE student pursuing teacher certification. Preference given to minority students.

School of Education Faculty and Staff Scholarship: (PDF) Awarded to an SOE student in the Teacher Education program. Preference given to students who will be student teaching during the current academic year.

Ruth Esther Holland Scholarship: (PDF) Awarded to a full or part-time undergraduate SOE student, with a least a sophomore standing, majoring in Elementary Education, Reading or Language Arts.

Mary A. and O'Dell Thompkins Scholarship: (PDF) Awarded to a School of Education student who has been accepted into the Teacher Education Program, is majoring in elementary education, and has a record of academic excellence as demonstrated by a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preference given to an African American female.

Ernest G. Heppner Scholarship: (PDF) Awarded to a student majoring in social studies or language arts who demonstrates a commitment to teaching Indiana´s children about the Holocaust.

Noyce Scholarship: The Robert Noyce Scholarship recipients are awarded on the basis of academic merit, with consideration given to the established financial need and diversity of applicants in the program.

Challenger Scholarship Program: (PDF) The candidates must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, be entering the junior or senior year at the beginning of the award period, and be enrolled full-time (12 or more credit hours per semester) at IUPUI during the award period.

INCEC Little john Scholarship (PDF) One $500 scholarship is awarded annually to the special education major or minor undergraduate student who best exemplifies the dedication to the principle and high professional standards of Dr. William Littlejohn.

Jesses H. and Beulah Chanley Cox Scholarship: The Jesse H. and Beulah Chanley Cox Scholarship affirms and rewards the efforts of Indiana University students who have demonstrated the motivation and resourcefulness required for success through their part-time work and solid academic performance. Available to students at the Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses, it is the largest IU scholarship based on both of these significant criteria.

Nina Mason Pulliam Legacy Scholars Program: The Nina Scholars program is dedicated to providing educational opportunities for individuals who would not normally receive traditional academic scholarships, and whose personal commitments and financial circumstances would preclude their attendance without substantial, long-term scholarship support.
