Graduate Assistantships and
Financial Aid
|
Graduate assistantships are often available at IUPUI. Students sometimes obtain
assistantships with individual faculty members (usually those who have a funded
research or training program) either within or outside of the School of Education.
It is up to the student to find faculty members and ask if they have positions
available. This can be done by emailing the faculty listed at the following site:
Additionally, the Center for Urban and Multicultural Education (CUME), a School of
Education research center, regularly hires some graduate assistants each year.
University College (where all freshmen begin their college experience)also sometimes
hires graduate assistants to provide advising for their students. Postings of open
graduate assistant positions are available through the Career Center (274-2554)
located in the University College (UC) building on the third floor. You can visit
the Career Center’s web site at
http://www.career.iupui.edu and sign up for IUPUI JagJobs, to receive current
opportunities. The IUPUI Financial Aid Office (274-4162)is located in Cavanaugh Hall
(CA), room 147. Help with student loan applications can be obtained through this office.
All of the current School of Education scholarships are designated for undergraduates
because our graduates often get Graduate Assistantships. You will be able to find good
scholarship information on scholarship opportunities outside of the School of Education
at Fastweb at www.fastweb.com .
