How do I pay my bill?
IUPUI operates on a paperless system, which means all communication with students regarding course information, scheduling of classes, receipt and payment of tuition bills, etc., is communicated online or via university e-mail.
Note: you will not receive a paper bill. You are responsible for obtaining your bill via Onestart.
The Onestart portal (https://onestart.iu.edu) allows students to pay tuition bills, and obtain copies of bills and payment receipts. To create an IU computing account, including a Onestart account, visit https://ams.iu.edu/skit/StartHere.aspx.
IUPUI student billing schedule:

You have many options to pay your tuition bill.

Do I need advance approval for courses before I register?
No, but an advisor is available any time you have questions (317.274.6801).
I need to renew my license. What is appropriate course work?
Appropriate course work is any graduate-level course (500 or above) either in education (EDUC) or in the major or minor area of the license. You may not retake a course you have already taken.
Do workshop courses (W505) count towards renewing my license?
Workshop courses (W505) offered for three graduate credits in Education will count. All the three-credit courses can be used to renew an Indiana teaching license. Additionally, CRUs and PGPs are available for non-credit professional development opportunities.
Can workshops or courses with satisfactory/fail grading be used for license renewal?
Yes, as long as a satisfactory grade is received.
Will the courses I take for renewal apply later to a graduate degree?
There is no guarantee that any course will apply toward a graduate degree until you are officially admitted to a graduate program and receive approval from your assigned faculty advisor.
I earned my undergraduate degree from IUPUI. Do I have to apply to take classes for renewal?
Yes. If you have not yet been admitted to graduate school, you must apply.
If I am taking classes only for renewal, must I pay graduate fees?
Yes. As a graduate non-degree seeking student, you will be required to pay graduate fees.
My license expires this summer. Can I take six hours in the last summer session and still have enough time to renew my license before school starts?
It depends on when your school year begins. Your renewed license will likely not post to the LVIS system until September 1.
I have completed my coursework. Where can I find the state license renewal application?
Please visit our Licensing section for helpful tips and the link to the Indiana Licensing Verification and Information System (LVIS). The license renewal process is now entirely online.
When do I submit the state application?
Your application should be submitted upon completion of the six (6) credits of appropriate course work, but no more than 45 days prior to the license expiration date. Click here to access information about the renewal process: http://www.doe.in.gov/licensing/renewing-indiana-educator-license. After the Licensing Advisor has verified your completion and grade for the course, your application will be approved and you will receive an email notification from LVIS.
What if I took half of my renewal coursework at IUPUI and half at another iniversity?
Either university can process your license renewal application. If you want IUPUI to process your application, you must submit an official transcript showing the three hours not taken at IUPUI.
Where can I go for more information about license renewal at IUPUI?
Please check the IUPUI School of Education licensing page.
