With Indiana´s Rules 2002 licensing changes, teachers in Indiana have been given more control over their professional learning. They develop Professional Growth Plans, plan Professional Growth Experiences aligned with their learning goals, and submit reflective commentaries of their learning to the Indiana Department of Education to renew their licenses. This new license renewal process puts teachers in charge of their learning in ways that have not been possible previously.

Consequently, our Office of Professional Development seeks to work with teachers as they identify their growth goals and plan their professional growth experiences. We welcome collaborations with teachers and schools that engage us in inquiry about the most effective teaching and learning practices for K-16 students.
